The Beauty of Going From Razor to Laser Hair Removal

The Beauty of Going From Razor to Laser Hair Removal

Isn’t it time to switch from the razor to Laser Hair Removal? You’ve been shaving (or tweezing, waxing, sugaring or threading) for what feels like an eternity. You’ve recently heard about permanent laser hair reduction and you’re intrigued. You think about the many benefits of never having to shave or tweeze or wax again – from saving time to saving money (imagine a lifetime without having to endure waxing treatments)! So you decide to research the subject.

Rest assured that Laser Hair Removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures. According to the latest figures from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, more than a million Americans had the procedure in 2017. Every day, both women and men are making the switch from razor to Laser Hair Removal.

I endeavor to make sure all of my patients have the most thorough information before they make their final decision.  After all, laser hair removal is a medical procedure and you’ll need to make sure it is the right decision for you and your lifestyle. Most importantly, because it is a medical procedure with certain risks, laser hair removal requires training so you’ll want to thoroughly check the qualifications of the doctor or technician you are considering to perform the procedure. Look for doctors and technicians with membership in the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and always ask about their ongoing training. Ask for referrals from people you know have had the procedure.

In my next article, I will go into greater detail about the procedure of laser hair removal. In the meantime continue your research and know this: from the underarms, bikini and legs, which are the most popular areas for women, to the back, chest and face for men, laser hair removal can be a life-changer that can make your journey through this life at least a little smoother.
